Okay, I am about ready to pull my hair out.
I posted last month regarding my issues with safari, having some webpages jump around while trying to navigate them... I updated to iOS7 in hopes that it might be less of an issue in the update and considering all the reviews sounded fairly positive for voice over users.... Well now I'm having the issue on every single webpage. It randomly and repeatedly will jump me to the top or bottom of the screen. This is after the page is fully loaded and even occurs in safari's reader mode which used to be my only work around for the jumping problem... Surely this is not happening to everyone as I'd assume it would've been mentioned in reviews or something.
Help? Anybody?
This is on an iPad II if that matters... It happens when navigating via touch gestures as well as if I have a bluetooth keyboard connected, no difference.
I was hoping these problems would be fixed in iOS 7, but obviously they have not been. I am disappointed that iOS 7 brought in so many new VoiceOver bugs as well. My Safari does not jump around on every single page, though I have to admit that so far I am finding page navigation on the iPad more difficult on the iPhone.
To the VoiceOver bug issues, all I can say without breaking nondisclosure agreements, is to wait for 7.1. Whether this specific issue will be rectified on the iPad or not, I'm not sure, since I don't own an iPad. My suggestion to you would be to try Crome, as this seems to happen less regularly with that browser on iOS. Then again, I'm not sure if that holds true for the iPad, I only know what I have done with my iPod and iPhone.
So this doesn't resolve everything, but here is what I did to my iPad Mini (no Retina display) and my iPhone 4S:
In Accessibility, I turned on Reduce Motion and Increase Contrast.
So Reduce Motion keeps the sliding in and out from happening, which is a softer visual effect. Increase Contrast is not a typical high contrast setting, but instead it stops the softer character feathering action, so that the symbols are simply drawn more crisply to the screen. This increases processing power so it feels a lot more like the iOS 6 series instead.
Just an idea. And yes, I do see what you are referring to, and get annoyed by the crashes and losing place in either Safari or other embedded web pages in places.
